Hazlewood North Planning Permit

The Hazlewood North Solar Farm granted planning permit approval.

We are excited to announce that the Department of Transport and Planning have issued the Planning Permit for the Hazelwood North Solar Farm. Located near Morwell, Victoria, the project is the largest proposed solar farm in Victoria, exporting up to 450MW of power – equivalent to the energy needs of approx. 150,000 Victorian homes. A 450 MW, 4 hour BESS is a key component of the project, designed to store energy for release into the grid when its needed.

Robert Luxmoore Pty Ltd manages the Project team on behalf of the landowner. The team, including Cogency and other specialist consultants, achieved the development application approval through extensive due diligence, coordination and engagement with authorities (e.g. Latrobe Regional Airport, local council, CFA, Gunaikurnai Land and Water Aboriginal Corporation), landowners, community stakeholders and local residents.

This milestone is a result of the hard work of the project team and Robert Luxmoore’s commitment to assisting landowners in unlocking renewable energy opportunities.
